Warranty Information on CHI Flat Irons
All CHI Flat Irons and other CHI appliances are guaranteed to be free of defects and workmanship errors for one year from purchase.
If you are a consumer or a salon inquiring about returning or getting service on your CHI flat irons, please read carefully the following message, which should answer any question you may have. If you need additional information, please send an e-mail to chitools@farouk.com or call 1-800-237-9175 x 5171. You can return your CHI flat iron at the place of purchase and they can exchange it for you, or you may send it back to use for replacement if:
- You have your receipt and it was purchased less than one year ago. You may use a credit card statement or cancelled check if you do not have receipt.
- It was not dropped or otherwise caused to stop working by user.
- It was not purchased from eBay or other unauthorized Internet retailers.
Please include the following information with your iron:
- A copy of your receipt (NOT THE ORIGINAL)
- Check or money order for $15.00 to cover shipping and handling.
- A note with your name, physical address you want your replacement sent to via FedEx or UPS and a daytime phone number. It is very important for your to put your phone number in the box so that we may contact you if there is any problem shipping your iron.

Had my second CHI (first was replaced under warranty for same issue) and now it blows cold air too!! Customer service said supervisor would call me back...NOT!!! Very unhappy with this product and it cost $$$$.

Extremely disappointed with products. I purchase both a Chi hairdryer and curling iron at Drugstore.com. After 2 months, neither work right. The hairdryer cold shot botton will often get stuck and the curling iron just stopped working. Drugstore.com only has a 30 day guarantee on all products and when I called CHI who has a 1 year warrantly - the CS rep was rude and short with me and told me they don't sell to any online retailers, so their warranty was no applicable. Extremely disappointed, as I have used CHI hairdryers for 10+ years and you have now lost my business and I am not paying $100+ to replace it after 2 months!

I have never experienced a more rude customer service, especially over a simple answer. Good-bye. I will bring my business elsewhere. To who was on the call, you seriously need to change your voice attitude.(warranty replacement)

i ordera chi on 12/15/11 it took over 3 weeks and it finally came but guess what like all you others it DIDNT work! thats a surpise !! i tried to contact someone who give a sh-t and nobody does. i will never waste my hard earned money again! i just bought a conair and its BETTER than this crap! its all in a NAME!!

My boyfriend purchased the chi for me at Ulta December 2011. Yesterday I turned it on it began to heat then the light went out and it has not worked since. Very interesting that it stopped working right at the one year mark. I'll go with another brand next.

My expensive "CHI" flatiron has rusted in less than 18 months and the manufacturer will not replace it...Bad business...BAD product. I would never buy another one.

I'm a hair dresser have bought 5 over the p****5 years, my kids Iron is o.k. but my flat irons have broken every time, and they really use there's more than me, will never buy another one, Sedu Irons so far, are much better and leaves the hair just as pretty.

I have had my chi since June of 2007 for a graduation gift, and it still works.
The only thing that seems to be wrong with it is one side has cracked and it seems not to get as hot. So for now it's put up, but I would def recommend the chi flat irons mine was well worth the money... Spending $130 and it lasting you over 3 1/2 years after using it nearly everyday... =)

I called chi due to my flat iron that stopped working all of a sudden after working pefectly for a whole month. They were VERY rude and unhelpful. I never would purchased this straightener if i would known they dont honor any sort of warranty simply due to buying online!!! Where does it matter where i purchased it its still your product!! I am soo angry and am out of alot of money! It seems as though older models worked great but the ones made in the last couple of years stink and problems are mostly electrical which is extremely unsafe!!!
