We have had our chi for a couple of years. Cord has been giving us trouble for a while. Saw electricity coming from it. Can we send it back to be fixed or replaced without a receipt or box?

The Chi's work great when they will turn on. I have owned 3. The first 2 I didn't keep the receipt and the last was a gift. It quit working after 2 weeks. I still have the box but no receipt. I will never buy another one.

i have had just about the same problems as every one else!!! my chi was probably the most expensive thing i owned. i thought it would be a good investment seeing as how they are supposed to last forever. NOT... the light stopped turning on and it stopped getting hot after just a short period of time im not even going to waste my time getting another one when i will just have to go through this same nonsence in six more months!

I am a beautician. I bought a chi for approximately $125.00. I will never buy another. The first one I bought worked fine until went to hotel, then the plug would not allow it to turn on. So I took it back and they gave me a new one. New one worked fine, went on Anniversary to hotel, quit working again. I couldn't fix my hair on my Anniversary date. Never again will I advise any client to get the Chi. Farouk Chi, GET YOUR CORDS FIXED!!!!

I rec'd a CHI for Christmas and it stopped working in February. Alot of money to pay for something that quits working that soon. In the past I had always used Hot Tools brand and was convinced to switch over to this brand. Not a good move. Will be purchasing the Hot Tools, good product for the price.

Well it's good to know I'm not crazy. Well, I guess I was crazy to spend the money on the CHI. I had the same experience as everyone else-- bought it at Christmas, and this morning (Mar 4) it simply wouldn't turn on. I had an important meeting at work, too. Major freak-out. I won't replace it with another CHI, I'll tell you that much.

Owned a chi for 3 years. In all honesty, it has been great until this last 6 months. It doesn't straighten my hair the way it used to. It doesn't seem to get hot enough anymore. My hair dresser said to buy a Babyliss and that they are the best thing out there now.

I had my chi for about 3 months before it stopped working. What i did hear was that keeping the chi plugged in to the outlet can cause it to stop working. So my suggestion is to unplug it when you are not using. Haven't tried it out yet but once i get it back I'm definitely doing that.

I have had my share problems with the chi. I bought 2 and of course didn't keep my receipt and after owning them for 14 & 18 months they both quit, Well I did keep the paperwork and all I had to do was send them to the company each with a 35.00 check and they sent me new ones. Well this time I kept the box and receipt that they sent me and its been less than a year and again a problem but all I will do is send them a check for 15.00 and they will replace. I love the chi and hopefully they get the defect worked out but at least I am not haveing to go pay full price to get it fixed. So send them in maybe they will figure out that they have a problem or maybe they don't care cause they really don't cost of 100.00 but I will never spend over 35.00 again for a chi, even if it quits 4 years from now.

I've used my $100+ Chi six times and now it won't turn on. I've tried turning it off then reseting both my wall outlet and the Chi to no avail then turning it back on. I've tried plugging it in to other outlets and reseting the same way as above to no avail. My 13-year-old niece told me to literally bang it once on the sink and it actually turned on for one last use before it died forever. disgusted - that's a lot of money down the drain.

Glad to see I am not the only with a problem! I had a chi nano and all of a sudden about 8 mo after buying it I was haveing trouble with the light coming on. I was able to jiggle the cord and get it to come on but eventually that didn't work either. I did ty to take it back to the store I bought it from but of course they were of no help. I have since bought another one. I can't be with out it. I do my hair every day, and need something that gets hot and the other straighteners just don't cut it. But for the price of the chi its def upsetting. Where is the quality???

I reveived my chi for a present and got to use it once. the light would no longer come on after that one use. I have owned 2 Chi straightener and they have both stopped working with in 1 year. I am very dissapointed with this product. For the money I paid I should at least get more than a year out of it!

I had a Chi flat iron for about 3 years and all of sudden it stopped working. I understand that there are problems with the cord and the connection being lost so it doesn't work. I am very disappointed. Considering how much it costs, I would think it would be of better quality. Don't think I'll spend that much money purchasing another one.
