My dad owns a salon I'm a stylist we have sold so many Chi's. The sad part is all we do is return them at least 5 a month and we have quit selling them now because they dont guarante them. I would not recommend them. Try a Paul Browm they have a 2% return rate .

Yes, this flat iron works well, WHEN IT WORKS. I have purchased 2 in the last 3 years and BOTH no longer work. I REFUSE to pay the charge to have it replaced. Why do they not stand by their product and replace it for free? Obviously, these irons are defective. Both of mine were WELL taken care of. I won't buy another!!!

I have had my CHI 6 months. I use it only once or twice a week and it is well taken care of. Like everyone else here, mine will now only go on and off, and will not heat up for very long. Awesome. I had to buy a cheap relplacement to get through work and now have to pay to send it to be fixed. If I pay this much, I should be able to use this product for more than 6 months.

I have the same complaint as many others here I have read. After 4 months my CHI just quit. Obviously electrical. Target won't return and I don't think I should have to pay more to CHI to get one that works. I will NEVER make the same mistake and by another one of their products nor will I ever buy anything from Target again.

I received a CHI for Christmas and it has already stopped working!! It didn't even last me 3 months and at the price it should have lasted a lifetime!! I wanted a CHI for so long but I am left so disappointed :( I am hesitant to spend the 25-30 bucks to get it fixed for fear that it will just happen again!

I HAVE BEEN IN THE HAIR BUSINESS FOR 5 YEARS. I LOVE THE CHI IRON, BUT IT DOESN'T LAST. WHETHER YOU WRAP THE CORD OR NOT THE IRON STILL BURNS OUT TO FAST!!! AS MUCH AS THEY COST THIS SHOULD NOT BE THE CASE EVERY SIX MONTHS!!! MAKE TH IRONS SO THAT CONSUMERS GET THEIR MONEYS WORTH.I'M CURRENTLY ON MY FOURTH IRON!!! THAT CRAZY!! IF AND WHEN THIS ONE BURNS OUT I WILL NOT PURCHASE NOTHING ELSE FROM CHI/FAROUK!! NOT EVEN PRODUCTS!!

My sister's CHI was accidently sat on, but it doesn't even really look broken, it just doesn't turn on. I was wondering if there's a place that I could get it repaired since it's still in good condition. Thanks!

I have been reading about a lot of people having problems with power cords and the response seems to be that you SHOULD NOT wrap the cord around your CHI to store it. This is what is causing a lot of problems. Either fold the cord and use a twist tie or you could slide the folded cord into a paper towel tube to store it.

I bought an a CHI straightener about 3 years ago, and it just stopped working, when I have it to the "on" position the light doesn't come on and it doesn't get hot. I'v tried numerous outlets. I think for the price I paid it should last longer. Do I get it fixed or not ever buy a CHI product again?

I have an original black chi and I have had it for about 3 years. It is starting to bubble and flake on the ceramic panels exposing the metal underneath. It is now burning my hair. What do you suggest, other than purchasing a new one?
Other than that I love it. And would definitely purchase another once this one goes out.
