I have bought many CHI products-flat irons and blowdryers for my children. I am very disappointed in their product.
I have a K-Mart blowdryer that I've used for over 10 years, and it still operates perfectly. I have returned 2 blowdryers to CHI already, that stopped heating after a year and a half. This is unacceptable. We pay a lot of money for these products, and they are only made to last less than 2 years. Take that into consideration before spending the money on their product.

I am still so mad about them not fixing their products that I am still seeing red!! I am on my third dryer. They get way too hot to do anything. I have three broken chi irons and don,t know what to do with all the customers that I have said Chi is a good company. Just bought their coloring system and am considering getting rid of it because I don't use things on my salon that the company can' stand behind. That's what is wrong with this country!! Suggestion for a iron try BioIonic. Great warrenty

SO. My chi stopped working after about 2 months..ish. like, the light turns on, but it doesn't get hot. i've read a lot of comments... and most of them say that chi isn't good. but honestly, it's one of the only straightener that has EVER worked on my hair. so should i send it back for a replacement? or go for a new brand? and if i go for a new brand, what should i get? because it still has to be able to get reeeeally hot and has to be high quality because my hair is dumb and likes to do whatever the heck it wants. it doesn't straighten, and it doesn't curl.. so it has to be good. and ideas?

My daughter and I have CHI flat irons. My CHI stopped working last week. So, this morning I borrowed my daughter's iron to straighten my hair. The iron was working and then I noticed that the light was not on and the iron was getting cold. Now its dead. Just talked to the customer service department and they are telling me that they no longer have a repair shop so the only way I can get them replaced it to have the recipt. Well, I don't have a receipt and I think it is ridiculous for them to not honor my request. Two CHIs to die on one week. I'm going to buy an ION.

I have had my Chi for 2 weeks. It dtopped working after 2 minutes. No light, nothing. I tried calling customer service but was told the operator was busy and to leave a message. Well we know how this will end. I'll take everyones advice and just eat the loss. Too bad, it really worked well for the short period of time I had it.

I bought my first Chi flat iron in 2005 for $130 it lasted me until yesterday with daily use, no complaints here! Just bought a replacement looking forward to another faithful few years out of my chi.

I too as a hairstylist have supported CHI for years by always using their tools and products. I have always highly recommended and sold many CHIs to my clients. It wont happen again. My last blowdryer is just over a year old and stopped blowing hot air and find out today they no longer repair over a year. I understand that the 1year warranty is up but to spend $160 on the "professional" turbo dryer and it last just over a year is ridiculous. Ive had so many CHI tools break and have never complained until now. I can honestly say I will NEVER buy or recommend them to any of my clients. Time to find a brand of tools thats willing to stand behind their product because CHI is not what it used to be.

Screw CHI, get ION. I've had three CHI straighteners and all of them have stopped working for the same reason - the cord/wiring. Don't waste your money... spend $50 on a Tourmaline Iron ION product... it works better than my CHI ever did. I love it. Happy shopping, sorry your straighteners broke, ladies. :(
