Warranty Information on CHI Flat Irons
All CHI Flat Irons and other CHI appliances are guaranteed to be free of defects and workmanship errors for one year from purchase.
If you are a consumer or a salon inquiring about returning or getting service on your CHI flat irons, please read carefully the following message, which should answer any question you may have. If you need additional information, please send an e-mail to chitools@farouk.com or call 1-800-237-9175 x 5171. You can return your CHI flat iron at the place of purchase and they can exchange it for you, or you may send it back to use for replacement if:
- You have your receipt and it was purchased less than one year ago. You may use a credit card statement or cancelled check if you do not have receipt.
- It was not dropped or otherwise caused to stop working by user.
- It was not purchased from eBay or other unauthorized Internet retailers.
Please include the following information with your iron:
- A copy of your receipt (NOT THE ORIGINAL)
- Check or money order for $15.00 to cover shipping and handling.
- A note with your name, physical address you want your replacement sent to via FedEx or UPS and a daytime phone number. It is very important for your to put your phone number in the box so that we may contact you if there is any problem shipping your iron.

DO NOT BUY A CHI. I had mine for under 3 months and now it will not turn on. I used it less than 10 times. Plus the company is extremely unhelpful. I purchased my straightener through Amazon and CHI refuses to hold my product under warranty because I bought it online. THIS WAS NEVER ADVERTISED.

I bought 3 of these for my niece, Daughter, and Daughter in law for Christmas. Today I gave my niece her's for her birthday and she just brought it over and said that it wont work. I called about warranty and was told tough I don't have receipt, I bought them 5 months ago on sale. I have owned 3 the other two work fine. this one just flat wont power on.... Guess what I am going to do when/or if I find the receipt!!! Return all 3 get "hairart" works as well or better I am told! CHI FAROUK you just lost a 9 year customer!! Who will never recommend your product again!

Wow I am surprised to see all these problems! I have had my one and only Chi for 13 years!! I only bought it because I was told "I know it's expensive but it has a lifetime warranty!" So 13 years later it's falling apart.. very disappointing! I would like to find more information on this! There has to be something I can do!

I bought the pink chi 6 yrs ago. My sister got a black one and really liked my pink so we traded. My chi just stopped working about 6 months ago. I bought a Walmart one and might as well not even bother to use it. Within 15 min it's back like it was when I started. I used a chi today for the first time since mine broke and it was amazing. All I could think about is I have to get another one. I will be getting another one soon. I hate it for everyone that has a problem with there's bc mine was well worth the 100 dollars.

I loved my chi... it worked great unti just about the time when the warranty was up. now it won't heat anymore and I can't send it in. If you are looking to buy an expensive product that doesnt last, the Chi is perfect for you.

Chi is just a name. Others are just as good and with a better warranty. My light will not come on now, just stopped heating one day. $125 given away for a name.

It's ridiculous to pay $15.00 to cover the cost of shipping when it was a defect in the iron, not through my neglect or abuse. I had my iron for less than 8 months before one of the plates stopped working. Very disappointed!
