Warranty Information on CHI Flat Irons
All CHI Flat Irons and other CHI appliances are guaranteed to be free of defects and workmanship errors for one year from purchase.
If you are a consumer or a salon inquiring about returning or getting service on your CHI flat irons, please read carefully the following message, which should answer any question you may have. If you need additional information, please send an e-mail to chitools@farouk.com or call 1-800-237-9175 x 5171. You can return your CHI flat iron at the place of purchase and they can exchange it for you, or you may send it back to use for replacement if:
- You have your receipt and it was purchased less than one year ago. You may use a credit card statement or cancelled check if you do not have receipt.
- It was not dropped or otherwise caused to stop working by user.
- It was not purchased from eBay or other unauthorized Internet retailers.
Please include the following information with your iron:
- A copy of your receipt (NOT THE ORIGINAL)
- Check or money order for $15.00 to cover shipping and handling.
- A note with your name, physical address you want your replacement sent to via FedEx or UPS and a daytime phone number. It is very important for your to put your phone number in the box so that we may contact you if there is any problem shipping your iron.

i've owend a chi for a little over a year and loved it recently it didnt turn on after i plugged it in i called up costomer servise and they were not helpful because i had it for over a year even though i was told that chi has a lifetime garentee

I HATE Chi. I am a Hair dresser and this is the worst product ever. I will no longer recommend this product in my salon.

piece of garbage... loved it soo much when i bought it i was told that there was a lifetime warranty on my straightner i got it for christmas and dont have the reciept and now i guess its a one year warranty and only if you have the reciept i will certainly be telling all my girlfriends about this considering alot of them use chi hair tools. when you pads are melting of the cords you should be replacing them no matter what.

i bought the pink chi in collage 5 years ago and it worked great unfortuntly it quit working i was not mad i was glad it lasted that long...i love the chi it works great and i stood behind yalls product. even when you would go to the mall and they would be pushing all other irons i would keep walling and say sorry i use chi..i went out and bought the black one cause i was told they were better and last longer its been 3 months and the place i got it said they were life time warranty..wrong there not i have to send it back pay money to get a new one and it takes 4 tp 6 weeks for the price i payed for it that should not be happing...so im switching to another product thanks chi

Had mine 8 months. One side no longer heats up. Before that it got so hot it left burn marks in our countertop. We'll see how easy it is to replace it, it is under warrenty.

So I was told that Chi relocated their manufacturing company about 2 years ago. Since then their products have not been as good as they were. I have had my chi for 5-6 years!!!! (the blue one) It has worked so well and I have LOVED it, after finding this out I ordered a Hana. I'll wait to see if it's as good as the CHI.

My CHI started flicking on & off every time I would plug it in, after reading this blog I realized that's the general problem. Like some people on here I was also informed it had a lifetime warranty, & for the money I paid, it should have come with one!! Very sad that such a large company, obviously with the finances, can't help it's customers. I will NEVER purchase another CHI again, anyways there are far better tools out there with much less hassle!

Replying to the person that thought the chi had a lifetime warranty... When i purchased my daughters chi 1&1/2 years ago.. I was told it had a lifetime warranty on it ! for the money they cost. I thought it better. But thought wrong. HA

I'm really starting to hate CHI. My flat iron red light is turning off and on and it's pissing me off. I mean I bought it for a very expensive price at the store itself. I'm very disappointed, I need a it.
