Great ---- while it lasted. It will die on you without warning....went to do my hair today like every other day...and it just won't heat up. So here I am all dressed in a suit for a HUGE meeting at work, to which I have to give a presentation.... and frizzy hair, doesn't that make me look all professional....thanks Chi!!

Think twice before you buy. I wish I had read all the reviews before I invested so much money into this product. It hasn't lasted a year and now it just won't get hot enough to do the job.

I am the only user of the product and it sits on a dressing table, and to the best of my knowledge hasn’t been dropped, at least not by me. I have taken better care of it than any other iron due to its price and still it broke. Granted other flat irons suck, but I am not willing to pay over $150 for a product that won’t last one year. I have read a few reviews saying send it back….Like I have my box and receipt. I'm organized, but didn't think I would need to keep all that for a professional grade product that had to be purchased by my licenses hair dresser. At the time I didn't know I could buy it directly in other states or on the net. It was purchased in MD and required a license at that store. So my hair dresser got it for me.

If Chi knows the product has issues, they should fix it for free, INCLUDING shipping charges. After shelling out the money I shouldn’t have to pay a red cent to get a product fixed that they are incapable of producing without issues. Read the reviews - you will see tons of unhappy people.

I got my Chi after my sister-in-law had one on our vacation to FL. I loved it. I've traveled the country with it, checked it on over 30 flights, driven over 35,000 miles and droped it plenty, plenty of times. Mine, now after all that is finally shorting out, about 2 years later. It's amazing! I will never own anything else. It won't last forever but it more than makes up for it with the performance. The difficult part is deciding which Chi I want.

I LOVE IT!

1.00 out of 5 stars do not buy this product
Reviewer: sofia on Sun, July 1, 2007

this product worked great for about three months, then one day when i turned it on the light started to blink on and off. i felt it, and instead of being hot, it hadnt heated at all. now, it won't even turn on. this product is all talk, dont listen to any of it. you might as well buy a target straightener, it will probably satisfy your needs better then this cheap product.

3.00 out of 5 stars works great - at first

This is my second Chi flat iron. They do a great job of straightening my hair, leaving it silky and soft.

However, they do not last long. My last Chi shorted out in about 17 months. My Chi Turbo is about 7 months old and is already shorting out.

My next flat iron is NOT going to be a Chi.

5.00 out of 5 stars Goodbye kinky, curly, frizzy hair!
Reviewer: carmen from NY & MD on Sun, August 6, 2006

I love this product so much that I purchsed two! I have short, naturally curly hair. I'm always fighting nature for a smooth, sleek, straight look. Now, I've got it. This product produces so well, that I only relax my hair twice a year.
I wash my hair then blow dry with a rounded brush, using the Bio-ionic blow dryer. (I'd love to own a chi dryer, though.) Then I use Farouk Biosilk Silk therapy with the Chi Turbo Flat Iron. I flip my ends then section my hair and lift and volumize my roots with the Chi Marcel Curling Iron. Bam! With a one- two -punch, I achieve a knock-out modified bob in one hour.

I beat the heat and humidity with the best products on the market, worth every penny that I've Spent. No more cheap, useless flat irons.
Goodbye kinky, curly, frizzy hair!
