 love it so muchI've been using Chi for months, never had a problem, it worked perfectly. just careful touching your hair and use the Chi thermal protection spray to prevent heat damage. so great! greatthis is a great hair strieghtern  read this!ok so i have had three chis and they work really well for 13 months but the thing is there is only a 12 month warranty on them! i had to buy three new ones and every single one went out at 13 months. it was horrible. i have to say my favorite straightener ever is the nano titanium. i would defentily suggest it to everyone!! it works soo well and it heats up in 20 seconds at the most literally. and it has a 4 year warranty! WOWok so i bought a CHI just yesterday... i figured it would be great beacuse all the hair care products are... now that im reading these reviews im not sure i want to even open the box... it sounds like most of you have had a very bad hand delt to you when it comes to CHI. With that said i think im going to keep it in the box...  chi flatironI haven't even had my CHI flatiron for a year and it no longer works. I never dropped it and only heated it up just prior to straightening my hair. Does anyone know what the warranty on CHI products is? What do I do?I have had my CHI for over 5 years and loved it...until a couple of weeks ago! The red light keeps turing off while I am using it, and it's a pain in the ass!!! I don't know what to do with it...have it fixed, buy another one, or where do I go to get it replaced??? help! I love to hear someone's advice. Until then I will have to with frizzy hair!! Doesn't last longThis is my second Chi flat iron, the first, the switch went out in less then a week. The second one wont even come on, I called the salon that I got it from and they said it would have to return to the manufacture. However, its been a little over six months and I dont have my receipt any more. So, it's not worth it. I would never waste my money again. 5 yrs and countingI have dropped and stepped on (while on and off) this chi. It has been wrapped and taken out of state on numerous occasions, and just recently did the cord come loose. I read another person put gorilla glue on their chi and its working fine. I may do the same so that I can squeeze another year out of it... then I'll purchase another one. Overall, Im pleased with my chi. LOVED IT!!!I've had my Chi over 3 years BUT what sent mine to the graveyard was the CORD also the light was coming on and off then the cord came loose to where it even sent out small sparks (thats when I threw it away)...and I also took very good care of mine....but I've tried many others but there are no comparisons to the ceramic chi I had..  UPDATE: Was happy - am not nowOK, so gorilla glue seems to be working like a champ. Yay! Was happy - am not nowI bought this product with my stylist's advice. Worked very well - have advised many others to also purchase one - however a couple of months ago (I only use it once or twice a month, put it away after every use, don't drop it) the base, where the power cord attaches, became loose. Since then it's become so loose that the cord falls out. Now it barely makes the connection and whenever I compress the iron (you know - to IRON MY HAIR) the cord comes out. This afternoon it SHOCKED me b/c I accidently touched the end when I tried to catch the cord.
need a power cordBought a Chi 2 months ago and it works great. My daughter was at a friends overnight and a dog chewed the power cord. I called the manufacturer and they said they can't help. They couldn't even tell me where to get parts. As far as I am concerned their customer service is the worst that I have ever dealt with.  Not worth the money!!Ive put over 300$ into this product, after replacing one that stopped working, My second one just stopped today (doin the same thing as the first, light coming on...starting to heat up, blinking light, then cutting off) I KNOW i have taken care of these things, and way too much money waisted! These things have some kinda cord problem, & if you dont have a recipt AND money to cover a new one, your STUCK...like me. LOVE IT.I LOVE IT. but i only had it for a day though . but its GREAT so far . and it doesn't look like your hair is greasy it look nice. it heats up in a little amount of time . LOVE IT WASTE OF MONEYThis Chi flat Iron lasted for 6 months and the switch went out, I have never bought an iron and had it last such a short time. I will never buy another chi iron!!! The BESTI've had mine for over 5 years and it still works super well!! I am always careful not to drop it or handle it roughly. If you use put it away after every use and it's out of the way i don't see how it can break. It is AMAZING and keep my hair straighter for longer than after a hair appointment! Never a problem!I've had the same Chi for about 5 years and have never had a problem...ever. I use it every day and it just keeps on heating up and doing its thing! I love it! :) i need tips & questionsi really want the CHI because my cousin used to have one and its soo great but while im reading all these cord promblems it makes me worry because what if my CHI{if i get 1} doesnt work in like 1 week? and if i order 1 from the internet {4rm this site}how much is it? and for the people who had theirs for 4 years wat r ur tips??? And if your chi breaks and you bought it 4rm the internet wat do u do??? help !!! MsI love the Chi, i have had this product for more than 4 years, I replaced it once in 6 years. The first one lasted two but the cord was messed up so i exchanged it. for the people on the other reviews.. it has a lifetime warranty.. take it to the place you bought it and trade it.. no big deal.. you get free ones for life.. not a bad deal if you ask me!! CHI is better than Babyliss ProI bought this CHI after my Babyliss Pro flat iron was broken. This CHI could make hair much smoother than Babyliss, I love that great touch, and the straightened hair could last for longer time, too. |
