 Chi should replace their expensive irons when they have electrical problems!My Chi is not very old, nor has it been abused or over used. The twisting of the electrical cord has made it spark and go out. I think it should be replaced for free. I love using it and would continue to support and pass the replacement information on to all my friends about how well chi backs up its products. Im still looking for someplace to send it to be repaired, but no luck yet!  I LOVE IT!omg..
Chi are GreatI have had a chi for a couple of years. I have no problems with mine and I really like it. I have not found anything that is so easy on my hair and straightens on the first try. I trust originalYep, my stylist owned one for 5 yeasr, I truly believe in this original one, more straighten and less damage! 3> Too many people with the same complaintI have talked to a number of hairdressers and a number of Chi owners and I am hearing the same thing, the cord goes faulty. Why are we having to pay for our second Chi to be fixed when it is clearly a defect. Has anyone turned this company over to the BBB? I will be checking into this because I don't see why I should pay 150$ for a product that doesn't last; then turn around and pay to have it fixed.  Not bad so farI got the chi iron in june or july of 2007. It's now october. I've read the other reviews of people's irons that have caught in fire, stopped working, or destroyed their natural hair. Now I'm a bit scared to use my iron. Reassurance please?  CUAGHT ON FIREI have had my Chi for about 4 months and it caught on fire when I turned it on. I am extremely disappointed that I paid $150.00 for a flat iron that is no better than a Wal-Mart flat iron. Not only have I NOT had a flat iron for the past week but they also want to charge me extra to fix it. Very Disappointing. EhThis really does work well on my hair, but it breaks so easily. I'm on my second Chi. After just over 12 months, my old Chi CAUGHT ON FIRE while I was using it, and it was too late for the warranty. My new one, in pink, works a lot better than the first one ever did, so maybe it was just a faulty one. But it does work. I got so many compliments on my hair today :) HATE ITTTTTTAWFUL AWFUL.... my CHI broke so many times that I am just OVER this company. I decided to buy an FHI Heat iron and I'm so satisfied. FHI's works SOOOOOOOO much better. WILL NEVER BUY CHI AGAIN. Nice.. when it workedI got this product 14 months ago for 184.00 and now it turns itself off and wont work for more than a few minutes! this is an obvious flaw with this product and many people have had the same complaint, this product should be recalled! what a rip-off!!!! i will NEVER buy another chi product  Great so fari love my chi....i bought it about a month ago and so far it has been great nad has cut down my hair time but alleast half the only 2 things that i dont like about it is that if your hair is even a little bit damp it starts to burn and i know that it can happen with other flat irons but i think this one does it much more and secondly when you put it away it is really best that you wiat for it to complety cool down then put it in the orgrinal box and DONT wrap the cord around it just lay the iron in and then cover it with the cord...and btw has anyone bought the same chi as this one in pink becaues i did got in the car and opened it and it looked so fake and cheap that i really drove back and returend it for a black one...it was not even cute it look cheap and like it was going to break at anytime.... CHI Turbo Flat Iron 2'This is the third CHI Flat Iron that I have owned, and I have had nothing but problems with it. Although the store that I purchased it from has exchanged it for me, it is a hassle and inconveient. I now reside in Puyallup Washington and the nearest Ulta Store is 25 miles away, therefore I will have to purchase from somewhere else until I can get to that store New to MeI bought the iron a month ago and LOVE what it does to my long fine hair. It makes my hair as smooth and shiny and soft as baby hair. The only problem I am having is how much of the product Chi 44 Heat Guard to use with the iron. I can't seem to use the right amount. This morning, after just ONE MONTH!it just would turn off and on and then it would just not turn on anymore! and my husband doesn't want me to buy another one =(.i dont know hwat to do! Original CHII have had my CHI since 2004 - I paid $129 for it at JC Penney salon. I agree with most that is it is a wonderful product - IF you can get it to stay on. My CHI will lose power, then you have to wait for it to come on and heat back up. My stylist uses the original chi with no trouble. I cannot use it without it stalling on me. I love the iron, however, I simply am disappointed in its mechanical design. The problem is way too common for it to be a select few irons. NOT WORTH THE PRICE!My first CHI shorted out after 8 months of use. The salon replaced it since it was still under the one year warranty. The second CHI lasted about 14 months (no warranty). I went ahead and bought another one over EBAY (no warranty) and it lasted not even a year! The last one started smoking while my daughter was using it! For the price, CHI should have at least a 5 year warranty! LOVE ITExcellent product. I've had 2 CHI straightners. With my first straightener, the plate fell out. But that was after being dropped about 25 times by my son. Just got my second one. I have very curly hair. It takes me about 10 minutes to do my hair. I absolutely love this product. I Love My Chi!I bought my new Chi a few days ago, and so far, its amazing! My once dry, brittle hair is now shiny, strong, and straight. I've noticed that since using the Chi, my hair holds a lot more moisture from styling products than ever before. I was once a lover of cheap, metal curling irons and straighteners. Now after using my Chi, I'll never go back. I love my Chi! Chi finally wearing outI bought by CHI iron about 6 years ago and it has performed consistently up until recently. The only thing that is wrong with it now is that the cord is coming lose where it connects to the iron and if it is not held a certain way, the iron goes off. I am still able to use it so this is more of an annoyance than anything else. I think I must be one of the lucky ones since I have had my iron for so long without problems. Now after reading the experiences of other people, I'm sort of afraid to buy another one. I think I will keep my old iron even after I buy a new one in case I get a dud. great straight, but curly?This is by far the best product I have ever used to straighten my naturally curly hair, and I tried everything before!! I have been using the Chi for 2 years and have not had the problems I have read about in other reviews. My only concern is that when I want to go curly, my curl is no longer the same as it used to be. Since using the Chi to straighten my curls, my hair has never been the same. What used to be curl is now just frizz. |
