lasts forever!

i use the chi everyday and it works great! also, i've had it for 4 whole years! no joke! for 4 years i have never had a single problem with it! i recommend this straightener to anyone!

not worth the money

yes, chi is a magnificent flat iron. heats up fast, straightens wonderfully... but my sixth turbo in 5 years just broke. same problem, cord shorts out. i've spent 1100 dollars on chi irons and will not spend a single dime on another one.

the best ever

I love my straightener! I've tried about 20 others- that's no exxageration- but this works the best. It makes my hair smooth and silky, and perfectly straight- in 15 minutes!!!!!
My hair is thick and super curly, and with every other iron I've tried it takes about 45 minutes to get my hair somewhat straight. But the CHI is fast and easy- so I can save time- for sleeping.

I've used this iron almost everyday for the past 2 years. Never have had any problems with it. It leaves my hair really soft and shinny. All my friends remind me to bring it along on gymnastics trips because it works so much better than theirs.

All of you that are having problems with your CHI irons need to look at the mailing address on the box. This product is made by Farouk Corp.(makers of Silk Therapy)and they will fix or replace your iron. Pack it up, mail it back, and wait for a little while. You'll either get a new iron, a reapired one, or a phone call. I have been a hairstylist since 1989 and I have never seen or used a better product. FAROUK WILL HELP YOU!! DON'T GIVE UP ON THE CHI IRON!!!!!

Awesome.

This is the best product I have come along in my years of hair styling. It is light weight, works very well for the many things you can do with a flat iron, it is ceramic, and if used with the right products it doesn't fry out your hair.
I have had my CHI for 2-3 years now, not to mention I got for a trade with my grandmother.
And I just recently heard that CHI's have a lifetime warranty. I haven't had the time to do the research to find if that's true or not.
I have dropped in pleanty of times, it has lasted through a ton of moves over the last year and I have packed it up and brought it on over nights, which I have wrapped the cord around it and have let all of my friends use it.
I have gotten great use out of this flat iron. I suggest it to everybody that flat irons their hair.
And I doubt I will ever use another product in my hair.
And as far as all the electrical problems, things like that happen. It can be caused by many different things, manufacturing faults and personal faults.
What I have learned from my experiences in flat irons. The best are all sold at salons, as well as products. If you try one and it doesn't work, try another. If you are absoulty in love with it like I am with my CHI then figure out what you can do to make sure you'll get one that works like mine does.
It really is an amazing tool, and problems occure with everything in life. But I have never had a problem with mine

LESS THAN 2 MOS. MY CHI IS BROKEN!

i just bought my CHI on march 08, and now it doesnt want to work anymore! Same with other people complains ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS! just doesn't want to turn on! I super take good care of my chi coz i really love it, the first time i used it and i dont let anyone touch it coz im so scared that they might broke it or something, i dont even abused it. Now im so Soooo frustrated!!!
Can anyone tell me whats the "BEST" hair straightener you can recommend?

Im done with chi. Im so frustrated!

The CHI Original

I got my CHI this Christmas as a gift so Dec 2008. Well it just broke on Saturday in Mid may. So yeah, it only lasted 5 months!! It won't turn on at all.

AMAZING..wish it lasted

Really, this is an amazing product. I haven't wanted to try anything else. I'm on my second CHI because there was a short in the cord on my first. It was nice becuase where I got it, they replaced it and I got a new one. 2 years later, the iron has gone out again. I just love this iron, but I hesitate to buy another -not knowing how long it will last
